Day 227 | Solomon builds the Lord's Temple | 1 Corinthians 10: Warning from history

Day 227 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. 2 Chronicles 2-5:1 describes Solomon's preparations, construction, and completion of the temple in Jerusalem. With the help of skilled workers and extravagant materials, Solomon builds the temple, furnishing it with elaborate details, including the bronze altar, molten sea, and cherubim. The whole process culminates with the placement of the Ark of the Covenant into the Most Holy Place. In 1 Corinthians, Paul explains how he adapts to people's customs to win them over for Christ, then warns against being overconfident by recalling Israel's past mistakes. He ends by encouraging believers that temptation is common to everyone, but God provides a way out.
